The students of the department of Agricultural Extension & Communication of Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) was live at CIA-GED Akure office. Their mission was basically to get conversant with activities of CIA-GED. It was an opportunity for them to learn field based experiences on how CIA-GED disseminates information to farmers on several best practices that can improve their agribusiness through adoption of innovative technologies in order to reduce bottlenecks in Agriculture, also how CIA-GED look into gender based activities like reproductive activities, household activities etc. carried out by women, and how we support them and their children to ensure overall development of households that are involved in agribusiness in Nigeria.
Olanipekun Caleb who is the Technical Assistant of CIA-GED attended to the students and answered many of their questions. Kudos to these students who were curious of getting practical based information from those who has been in the field of agribusiness development, gender equity and advocacy programmes.
Time with you guys was really awesome!, keep it up!.
Nigeria youths can feed our nation, let’s keep the fire burning. There are lots of bottlenecks to be reduced in agriculture and all together we can.
